We were in Monkey Island, Oklahoma for a family get together last Summer and as much as we had a great time. It was pretty hot and humid. For next year's family get together, it's already a definite plan that we will be heading to Branson, Missouri. Although I still have a couple of months to wait before we can go. I am just glad that I will be able to visit this beautiful and wonderful place for the first time.

The beautiful palm trees of South Padre Island (SPI). It makes me remember and think of the Philippines! My mom grew a palm tree in front of our backyard that serves as land mark to ur house back home. So, it was like a de javu seeing this neat island! I was out walking with the dogs when I noticed that it's Full Moon, big and well-shaped. After doing a google search, it is a fact that tonight is the year's biggest full moon. As the Earth's natural satellite reaches its closest point to our planet, it makes it evident for the moon to be at it biggest.

Flu Season

Hubby is home since he's not feeling well. That means, I am also taking a day off from the computer so I can take care of him. I am just hoping that I won't be able to catch the flu that he's having right now. I'd be miserable the most, if I'd get sick and pass it on to Cassy. Ohh God, please keep us well. I know it's inevitable as it's flu season now. Unfortunately, I missed my flu shot because of too many things that needed my attention. I mean I could get it still if I want to. Entering U.S. Border

This was the picture I snapped when we had to pass the Border Patrol on our way back from South Padre Island. Since we were just 2 miles away from the border of Mexico; the Department of Homeland Security reprimands every person entering the US Border to present legal and proper documentation to enter in the U.S. territory. I was pretty amazed how far we have gotten and how close we were in Mexico. I could have had chance to enter Mexico since I brought my passport and greencard with me. However, hubby didn't bring his passport so as Cassy. We'll just have to do it next time I guess. It was quite a drive!

I had a great day today since I did go for a walk with Cassy on her stroller and dogs on their leashes. Feeling Exchausted!

Finally Home

We just got home last night from our fun trip. We actually went farther than what was originally planned. After spending a night in San Antonio, we drove 6 and a half hours more to get to South Padre Island where hubby's brother Chris and his wife lived. It was definitely a long trip but surely worth it! Gone For The Holiday

I will be gone on Wednesday (November 26) through the weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving holiday in San Antonio. Hubby wants to get away for a few days since he's having a lot of stress from work lately. He also wants us to spend some quality time together with our daughter and the dogs. Daughter's Sleeping Position

Laying on her stomach is my daughter's favorite sleeping position. For as long as I could remember, she has been on her stomach and she's sleeping very well. I know that with the sudden infant death syndrome, sleeping on the back is much more encouraged. But now that my duaghter has grown and that she can lift up her head completely, it doesn't me worry much.Besides, she has a firm mattress that's recommended for infant and toddlers.
Anyway, what so cute about this picture is she's sleeping with her butt up.:-)I wonder how long this one will last:-)

Miners Rescued From Philippine Mine

Six miners were trapped for a week in a flooded gold mine in the northern Philippines have been brought out alive and hopes are high that another eight who are still underground will also be rescued.

An estimated 16 people were trapped in the mine in the province of Benguet after a portion collapsed in heavy rain brought by a typhoon on Sept. 22. The bodies of two of them were found later last week.

Three miners were brought out alive on Monday and another three on Tuesday.This is truly a miracle as the survivors overcome without food nor water.

Remembering our days in Astoria, Oregon where we had a nice overlooking view of the mouth of the Columbia River. As you can see there are lots of sea lions in the river. And in the winter time, they swim towards California where they can warm up. And come back in the summer time:-)
